Alice M. Harden, 73, of Port Norris passed away on Friday morning, May 28, 2021 at her home under the care of hospice and her family. Born in Accomack County, VA to the late Lewis Cullen and Lorraine Broughton Cullen , she was the wife of the late Charles W. Harden whom she was married to from 1966 to 2001 when he passed away. Alice was a resident of Port Norris most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a cashier at the former Showboat Casino Hotel in Atlantic City for 22 years. Before that she had worked in the clam and oyster industry in Port Norris for many years. In her free time, Alice enjoyed watching TV, gardening, socializing with her girlfriends, visiting the casinos with her sister, Georgia, talking with her great aunt, Dot, and spending quality time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Tina M. Weeks and her husband, Harry of Millville, Aaron Harden and his wife, Angeline of Port Norris and Mia Taylor and her husband, Samuel of Millville; her siblings, Georgia Davis and her husband, Vernon of Port Norris and Gardell Lester Bowser and his wife, Helen of Pleasantville; nine grandchildren, Calondra, Adrionna, Aaron, Jr., Alexis, Isiah, Charles, III, Lashanda, Anthony and Johnathan and 14 great-grandchildren, Le-Ari, Aaron, III, Aviana, Avery, Dejhon, James, Royce, Azonah, Jevon, Tanner, Tai'lyn, Tinley, Nevaeh and Bentley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Harden, Sr.; her son, Charles M. Harden, Jr.; two grandchildren, Antwane Broughton and Bethany Taylor; her brother, Jerry L. Broughton and her mother and father, Lorraine and Lewis Cullen. Funeral Services will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, 2411 Memorial Ave, Port Norris on Saturday, June 5th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery in Commercial Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
