Harry Lee Kent, Sr., 78, of Bridgeton passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Broxton, GA to the late Helen Kent Haynes, he was a resident of the Bridgeton area for most of his life. He relocated to Cedarville in his early teens after living his adolescent years in Georgia. Prior to his retirement, Harry had worked as a supervisor at Tropical Tile in Bridgeton for many years. Before that he had worked for Sorantino Farms in Cedarville and as a security guard. He was a member and deacon of Bethlehem Revival Temple in Bridgeton. In his younger years, Harry was a boxer and still enjoyed watching boxing. He was an avid sports fan and his favorite teams were the Philadelphia Phillies and Miami Dolphins. He is survived by; six children, Delores Kent of Bridgeton, Harry L. Kent, Jr. of Vineland, Helen Kent of Bridgeton, Timothy Kent of Vineland, Daniel Kent of Bridgeton and Keisha Seals of Bridgeton; his wife, Betty Jean Kent of Bridgeton; his aunt, Susie Mae Robertson of Vineland; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; his mother, Helen Haynes and his son, Willie Kent, Sr. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday, September 10th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
