Emily Williams Prettyman died at the age of 97 on February 2, 2020 at Genesis Healthcare-Millville Center where she had resided since July 7, 2014. Emily was born in Dutch Neck to the late Atwood T. Fox, Sr. and Emily M. Fox, Nee Williams. She lived in Fairton for 66 years until she needed long-term healthcare. Emily worked as a seamstress at M.C. Shrank Co. in Bridgeton in the 1940's. She was employed by April Brothers' Orchards in Millville as an office clerk and drove a school bus for special needs children in the 1960's. Emily was a member of the Fairton Volunteer Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary in the 1960's. She served as President of the Cumberland County Fireman's Association Ladies Auxiliary from 1966-1968. Because Emily trusted Christ as her personal savior, she is now absent from the body and present with the Lord (II Corinthians 5:8). Emily is survived by; a son, Donald W. Prettyman and his wife, Nancy of Egg Harbor Twp.; a brother, Kenneth R. Fox; a sister, Helen P. Hill; six grandchildren, Betty Shrouder, Donna Henry, Carol Erhart, Richard Wycoff, Jr., Eugene Whitaker and Melissa Dingus; eight great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by; her husband, Wilbert; her daughters, Gladys E. Wyckoff, Beatrice A. Shrouder and Betty L. Whitaker and a granddaughter, Christina Huttman. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, February 8th at 11 AM. Interment will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville.
