Merry L. August, 70, of Cedarville passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016 at her home. Born in Cedarville and a lifetime Lawrence Township resident, she was the daughter of the late Sheridan Wands, Sr. and Helen Mullen Wands and the wife of the late George M. August. She spent her childhood growing up on the Wand’s Farm on North Avenue in Cedarville. A homemaker, she loved her family and friends and also enjoyed playing Bingo, the lottery and shopping. Merry is survived by her three children, Helen Ann August of Fayetteville, NC, George M. August, Jr. (Michelle) of Upper Deerfield Twp. and James J. August of Cedarville; her partner, Leonard Jamison of Cedarville; her brother, Phillip Wands of Port Norris; an aunt, Joan VanMeter, 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and her close friends, Betty French, Eunice Swift and Donna Burner. She was predeceased by two sisters, Nancy Clehm and Bonnie Paynter and a brother, Sheridan Wands, Jr. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main Street, Cedarville on Friday, April 22nd at 11 AM. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Old Stone Church Cemetery in Fairfield Twp.
