Obituary of Karen Louise Ore

Karen Louise Ore, 66, of Millville died early Friday morning, January 22, 2016 at her home under the care of hospice following an extended illness. Born in Liverpool, NY to the late John Weed and Clara Barker Weed, she was the wife of Leon D. Ore, Jr. Karen moved to Elmer with her family when she was 10 years old and moved to OK when she married Leon where they lived for a year and a half. In 1973, they purchased their home in Millville where she lived for most of her life. While Leon was in the service, they had also resided in Fort Hood, TX, Fort Dix, Hawaii, Munich, Germany, Fort McClellan, AL and California. Karen had been previously employed by Wheaton Glass in Millville in the Decorating Department. She was a member of the Eagles Club in Bridgeton. In her free time she was an avid bowler in the coffee and doughnut league and the former Thursday night women’s league for many years. She was very fond of her dogs; Princess, Duke, Dutchess and Montana. She was also a fan of the Denver Broncos. In addition to her husband Leon, she is survived by a daughter, Beth Ann Martin and her husband Daniel of Millville; a son, Christopher John Ore of Millville, her former daughter-in-law and mother of her granddaughter, Stacy Lynn Faix of Williamstown; her granddaughter, Clara Grace Ore and two sisters, Mary Manny and Linda Weed both of PA. She was preceded in death by a son, Leon David Ore, III; a brother, John Weed; a sister, Mable Jean Martin and a grandson, Gavin Christopher Ore. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, January 27th at 2 PM.
