Harold A. Taylor, Sr., age 79, of Fairfield Township, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Cumberland Manor following a lengthy illness. The husband of the late Doris Virginia Moore Taylor, he was born in Springfield, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica on March 20, 1932 and was the son of the late John Taylor and Ena Farquhanson Taylor. He had lived in the Bridgeton area over 50 years. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Taylor had been employed for 38 years at the Chrysler Corporation in Newark, DE and was a member of United Auto Workers Union Local 1183. Survivors include; two sons, Isaac Patterson and his wife Sandy and Harold A. Taylor, Jr. and his wife Tamara both of Fairfield Township; two daughters, Denise A. Thomas and her husband James and Joyce Taylor both of Fairfield Township; a brother Fitz Gerald Hylton of FL; two cousins, Martel Shakes and his wife Joy of Neptune and Tubal Shakes and his wife Rose of Orlando FL and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be held at the Crusaders for Christ Church, 33 Reeves Road, Bridgeton on Saturday, March 3 at 12 Noon. Friends will be received at the church from 11 AM and 12 Noon prior to the services. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Township. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
