Barbara D. McIntire, 75, of Bridgeton died Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the home of her daughter, Barbara, in Fairfield Twp. She was born in Bridgeton to the late Harvey Allen and Floriemel Rice Walker. She had been a resident of the Bridgeton area all of her life. Prior to her retirement, Barbara had been employed with the Cumberland County Board of Social Services for many years. She was a member of Union Baptist Temple in Bridgeton and the Young People’s Progressive Club. She is survived by her three children, Barbara Allen-Newton of Fairfield Twp., Michael T. Allen of Bridgeton and Essie L. Allen of Bridgeton; twin siblings, Sharon Walker-Brown of Millville and Gary T. Walker of Bridgeton; a brother, Harvey Allen of OR; 9 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Union Baptist Temple, 30 Martin Luther King, Jr. Way on Saturday, November 21st at 10 AM. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 8 AM to 10 AM prior to the services. Written condolences can be sent to the family through the funeral home website at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
