Luis “Honey Bunny” Santiago-Gomez, 37, of Newfield died on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at his home under the care of Hospice. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Luis A. Santiago-Perez and Evelyn Gomez-Santiago of Philadelphia, PA, he was the husband of Yolanda Peyton. He had lived in Newfield since 2012 and prior to that he had been a resident of Philadelphia. Luis was an expert self-employed contractor by trade. He had been involved in the “Build a Church in a Day” program as a volunteer. He had assisted in the construction of the Spirit and Truth Worship Center in Bridgeton and he was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Besides his wife Yolanda and his parents, he is survived by two children; Ezequiel Santiago and Joseph Santiago; and two siblings, Frances Santiago of Philadelphia and Dennise Santiago of FL. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 24th at the Spirit and Truth Worship Center, 653 Garton Rd., Bridgeton at 6 PM. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
