Obituary of Russell E. Morgan

Russell E. Morgan, 87, of Hopewell Township died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at South Jersey Extended Care in Bridgeton. Born in Bridgeton and a lifetime area resident, he was the son of the late Russell S. Morgan and Ella Caine Morgan and was husband to the late Geneva Belcher Morgan. Russell was a Veteran and served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Prior to his retirement in 2002 he had worked as a forman for the LeSturgeon Bakery in Bridgeton for thirty years and also worked for twenty years as produce manager at Fisher’s Market in Hopewell Township. In addition he had been employed at Wheaton Glass Co. in Millville. He is survived by his four sons, Bill C. Morgan and his wife Darlene of Millville, Barry Morgan and his wife Sheila of Bridgeton, Wayne Morgan and his wife Merle of Upper Deerfield Twp. and Terry Morgan and his wife Debbie of Newport; his sister, Joan Smaniotto of Vineland; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by three brothers, Charles “Bud” Morgan, Wesley Morgan and Robert Morgan and three sisters, Gertrude Smith, Dorothy Moore and Shirley. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Thursday, May 7th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 to 11 am prior to the services. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.
