Betty J. Cassidy, 75, of Bridgeton died Wednesday evening, April 15, 2015 at Genesis-Millville Center. Born in Sissonville, West Virginia to the late Paul Johnson and Norma Bailey Johnson, she was the wife of Robert Cassidy. She had been a Bridgeton resident since 1958. Before her retirement, Betty had been employed with the Kimble Glass Company in Vineland. Also a homemaker, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, ceramics and fishing. In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by her three children, Debra A. Sprouse and husband Ron of Upper Deerfield Township, Robert Michael Cassidy and his wife Annie of Nashua, NH and David S. Cassidy and his wife Cheryle of Vineland; two brothers, Earl Johnson of OH and Paul Johnson, Jr. of West Virginia and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a stepbrother, Virgil A. McCrary, Jr. and a stepsister, Margaret McCrary. Memorial services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Saturday, April 18th at 10 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 to 10 AM prior to the services. Burial will take place at Greenwood Memorial Park in Millville.
