Helen DeVol Kenney, 69, of Cedarville died on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at her home under the care of Hospice. Born in Bridgeton, she was the daughter of the late Paul McDowell and Elizabeth Lemke McDowell. Helen had been a resident of the Cedarville area most of her life. Prior to her retirement she had managed the Costal Mart Convenience Store in Cedarville and before that the Jack Rabbit Convenience Store, also in Cedarville. She is survived by two sons, Frank DeVol of Upper Deerfield Twp. and Robert DeVol and his wife Henrietta of Lawrence Twp.; two sisters, Stella Shaffer of Bridgeton and Mary Capelli of Hopewell Twp.; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul McDowell, Jr., Isaac McDowell, Robert McDowell and Leon ”Bud” McDowell and two sisters, Alice Kubiak and Sadie Gressman. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main Street, Cedarville on Saturday, February 21st at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Written condolences can be sent to the family through the funeral home website at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
