Ethel G. Krevetski, 83, of Newark, DE died on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the home of her daughter under the care of Hospice. Born in Caress, W.Va. to the late Jesse Harper and Rosa Prunty Harper, she was the wife of the late William Krevetski. Ethel had moved to Bridgeton in 1963 and had moved to Hopewell in 2013, where she lived until moving to the home of her daughter, Paula in DE when she became ill. Prior to her retirement, Ethel had worked for Griffin Medical in Bridgeton. She had also worked for Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Bridgeton and Upper Deerfield Township Schools as an aide. She loved spending time with friends, going to Bingo and Atlantic City. She also enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas with her brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Ethel was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan. She also enjoyed watching the Golden Girls, playing Wii bowling and listening to country music. She could often be found talking on the phone with her sister-in-law, Patti and baking in the kitchen. She was a very happy, polite and giving person. In her younger days, Ethel enjoyed hunting and fishing with her brothers and making dresses and quilts with her sisters. She is survived by; her daughter, Paula Krevetski Karol and her husband, Steve Karol of Newark, DE; four brothers, Cecil Harper, Herbert Harper, Larry Harper and Carl Harper; and her sister, Glernora Eubank and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, William, she was preceded in death by; two brothers, Lester Harper and Earl Harper and five sisters, Mamie Ambrose, Pearl Harper, Emma Harbert, Ruby Eubank and Lucille Hickman and a brother, Earl Harper. Memorial Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, January 23rd at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cumberland County Veteran’s Cemetery in Hopewell Twp at a later date. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Ethel’s memory to The American Cancer Society, 92 Read’s Way STE 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
