Obituary of Robert H. Holding

Robert H. Holding, Sr., 78, of Bridgeton died on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Christiana Hospital in DE. He was born in Salem to the late Walter and Florence Holding. Before moving back to the Bridgeton area, Robert had lived for 30 years in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prior to his retirement, he had worked for several liquor distributors in the Las Vegas area as a salesman. Robert had also served in the United States Army during peacetime where he received training as a Morse Interceptor. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening at his home and throughout the neighborhood. He was also a member of the VFW. He is survived by; his children, Barbara Holding of NC, Bill Holding and his wife, Donna of NC, and Bonnie Baker and her husband, Harley of Upper Deerfield Twp.; his former spouse, Marion Holding of NC; a daughter-in-law, Leslie Holding of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; a son, Bob Holding, Jr.; a daughter, Brenda Holding and two sisters, Lillian Roundtree and Pearl Ann Holding. Graveside funeral services and will be held at the Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery, Trench Rd. in Hopewell Twp. on Friday, December 12th at 2 PM. Interment will follow the services.
