Jessica “Sami” Pennington, 47, of Greenwich died Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Cumberland Manor. She had gallantly and bravely dealt with the disease of MSA (Multiple Systems Atrophy) for several years. The daughter of the late Russell R. Pennington and Anne DeWilde Pennington Cook, she was born in Elmer and had lived in Greenwich since 2002. She had resided in Colorado prior to that and had lived in Shiloh as a child. Sami had previously been employed as a cosmetologist at the On Broadway and Boulder Spa in Boulder, CO. She had served as an Ambassador with the MSA Association. A masterful artist with arts and crafts, she was known for “Just Loving People”. In addition to her mother, Anne, she is survived by four sons, Michael Pennington of CO, Tomas J. Silva of CO, Hunter M. Silva of CA and James B. Silva of CO; two brothers, Russell R. Pennington, Jr. of Tallahassee, FL and Kenneth Wade Pennington of Ft. Lupton, CO and a sister, Heather Anne Arenas of Denver, CO; a step-brother, Robert Cook of Bridgeton and two step-sisters, Nancy Cook Estler of WVA and Harriet Cook Smith of Bridgeton. She was predeceased by her loving step-father, M. John Cook. Memorial services will be held at the Shiloh Seventh Day Baptist Church, 116 East Ave., Shiloh on Wednesday, Dec. 10th at 11 AM.
