Obituary of Arnold Lewis Bauer

Please share a memory of Arnold to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Arnold L. Bauer, of Bridgeton, born Nov. 17, 1928, died Sunday, November 9, 2014. He was born in Dividing Creek, NJ to Gladys (Turner) and Stacy Sloan Bauer. In 1947, he graduated Bridgeton High School, where he was an accomplished tennis player. He then graduated from Rutgers University and Rutgers Law School. He served his country from 1955 to 1957. Arnold then served his community of Bridgeton as an attorney, a member of the NJ Bar for 30 years. He was a member of the Rotary Club, and past president of the South Jersey Estate Planners Council. One of Arnold’s favorite hobbies was Barbershop quartets and choruses, and he was instrumental in bringing Barbershop music to the Bridgeton area in the 50s and 60s. He was awarded Judge Emeritus, after twenty years with SPEBSQSA in the USA and Canada, having coached many national champions in the category of Stage Presence as Society Senior Category Specialist. As much as he enjoyed music, nothing in his life approached his love for his wife, sisters and brothers, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His loss from this world leaves them heartbroken, but also encouraged by the fact of his Christian hope… meaning that his family ultimately be re-united with him through the finished work of Jesus Christ. Arnold’s family wishes to say a special thank you to the caring staff of Friends Village in Woodstown NJ, as well as well as Arnold and Marilyn’s beloved neighbor, Becky Davis McCubbin.
