Wayne “Bucky” R. Weber, 67, of Fairfield Twp. died on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland following an extended illness. Bucky was born in Bridgeton to the late Wayne R. Weber , Sr. and Thelma Stites Dorrell. He had lived in Fairfield Twp. for the past few months but had been a Bridgeton resident most of his life. He had worked for Courier Systems in Bridgton where he was shop supervisor for the past 5 years and had retired from Sunny Slope Farms in 2009 where he had worked as a mechanic. Bucky had also owned and operated a service station on Rt. 49 in Millville called Weber’s Texaco. He had been a member of the VFW Post 1795, 5th Ward Club, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Garden State Stock Car Organization. He enjoyed vintage stock car racing and NASCAR racing and had been to the Daytona 500 several times where he cheered his favorite driver Jeff Gordon, in car #24. In years past he drove the modified stock car 6A for Muse Ale. He had also built his own car, 3W and drove it for a short while before putting Paul Weaver in the driver’s seat. Paul won many races in Bucky’s 3W. Surviving are his three daughters, Stephanie Weber of Hopewell Twp., Penny Gallemore and her husband, Kevin of TX and Danielle Chini of FL; his son, Bucky Chini of FL, two sisters, Barbara J. Henry and her husband John of Upper Deerfield Twp and Wendy L. Dorrell and her husband Larry of Salem County; a brother, Craig Weber and his wife Cindy of Deerfield Twp.; two aunts, Mary Narducci and Jean Kempenaar; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Weber of Deerfield Twp.; his former wife, Linda Preston Glenn of FL and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Diane M. Talley; a brother, Jerry G. Weber and a brother-in-law, Fred Talley. Memorial services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday, October 27th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bucky’s memory to the American Heart Association, 1617 John F. Kennedy Blvd. Philadelphia, PA.
