Sara M. Myers, 84, of Bridgeton died on Friday, October 10, 2014 at the home of her sister, Carolyn, following a brief illness. Born in Bridgeton to the late Alma Shinn, she had been a Bridgeton area resident all of her life. Sara had been a homemaker but in her younger years had worked for the Georgia Pacific Basket Factory in Bridgeton and Wheaton Glass in Millville. She loved to play games with her grandchildren and to help care for them. Her family was very important to her. She is survived by; three sons, Kenneth Myers and his wife Sandy, William Myers and his wife Carol and Dennis Myers; her sister and caregiver, Carolyn Martorana; her brother, Arthur Woodward and his wife Josephine; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, David Myers. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, October 15th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Sara’s memory to Inspira Hospice, 1138 E. Chestnut Ave. #3B, Vineland, NJ 08360.
