Obituary of Charles A. Bundy

Charles A. Bundy, Sr., age 92, of Upper Deerfield Township died Thursday evening, December 22, 2011 at South Jersey Hospital-Elmer Division. The son of the late Wilbert Bundy and Katherine Kimberger Bundy, he was born in Barnsboro on August 1, 1919 and was the husband of the late Anne Lyons Bundy. He had been an Upper Deerfield Township resident for 62 years and had lived in Bridgeton prior to that. A member of the Parish of the Holy Cross, Immaculate Conception Church, Mr. Bundy had been a Transit Operator with New Jersey Transit for 40 years. Surviving are three daughters, Shirley Bundy of Pittman, Nancy Bundy of Carmel and Barbara Richter (Keith) of Stow Creek Twp.; five sons, Charles A. Bundy, Jr. (Marge) of Bridgeton, Richard Bundy and David Bundy (Brigitte) of Pittsgrove, Michael Bundy of Vineland and Donald Bundy (Robin) of Cedarville along with 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters, Alberta Holt, Katherine Uhland and Grace Kier and two brothers, George and Wilbert Bundy. His Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Parish of the Holy Cross, Immaculate Conception Church, 312 North Pearl Street, Bridgeton, on Wednesday morning, December 28th at 10 AM. There will be no public visitation. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bridgeton. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Mr. Bundy's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101.
