Cheryl D. Pace, age 63, of Upper Deerfield Twp. passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 surrounded by her family after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Cheryl was an avid lover of animals. There was not an animal in need of love and care that she ever turned away. She and her husband John owned and operated Modern Heating Co., Modern Bait and Tackle and GiGi’s Seafood Market in Bridgeton. Cheryl was a very strong and independent person who wore many hats. She was a registered nurse and especially liked working in the pediatrics unit at Bridgeton Hospital. She was also not afraid to get on a tractor and bail hay or drive an oil truck to deliver oil. She was always one to help those in need and did many fundraisers for the SPCA and the Humane Society. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her husband John, she is survived by her son, Jason Pace and his wife Maria; her daughters, Ginger “GiGi” Collini and Gina Collini and her fiance, Frank Piectrazak; her step-daughters, Lisa Large and her husband Chip and Lori Pace; a step-son, John Pace, Jr. and his wife Michelle; seven grandchildren, Mia Pace, Annelise and Alexandria Stoffels, Gianna Pace, Zachary Large, Brandon Large and his fiancé Kayla Andrews and Cody Cruzan; several sisters; a brother and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert York and Thelma Quade York. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at the Parish of the Holy Cross-St. Theresa of Avila Church, 46 Central Ave., Bridgeton on Thursday, August 21st at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery at Laurel Lawn in Upper Deerfield Twp. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, August 20th from 6 PM to 8 PM at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. and on Thursday morning August 21st from 9 AM to 10 AM at the funeral home prior to the services.
