Obituary of David J. Sibley

David J. Sibley, 51, of Commercial Twp. died on Monday, July 21, 2014 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia following an extended illness. Born in Bridgeton to the late Warner Sibley and Patricia Heisroth Sibley, he was the husband of Vicki L. Hately Sibley. David had lived at his present address in Commercial Twp. for the past 10 months and prior to that he had lived in Carmel and Pittsgrove respectively. Prior to his illness, David had been self-employed as a contractor. He was a very talented carpenter who had been featured in South Jersey Magazine for his work. David had also been a musician for over 40 years. He played guitar for the Sibley Bros. Band and other area bands. He is survived by; his wife, Vicki Sibley of Commercial Twp.; a daughter, Kaitlyn Sibley of Rosenhayn; two step-daughters, Rachel Kiley and Heather Souders both of Commercial Twp.; two brothers, Warner Sibley and his wife Rebbeca of Shiloh and Michael Sibley and his wife Kimberly of Carmel; two sisters, Sandra Laubengeyer and her husband Jay of Dennis Twp. and Patricia Worley and her husband Robert of Medford Lakes; three step-grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Natey and Lily Souders and many nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, July 26th at 1 PM. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11 AM to 1 PM prior to the services.
