Betty M. Roberts, age 84, of Millville died Friday, November 4, 2011 at her home following a one and a half year period of declining health. Mrs. Roberts was born in Amend, Pennsylvania on August 18, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Earl Hines and Olive Friend Hines. The wife of the late Alfred "Owen" Roberts, she had lived in Millville for the past six years and prior to that was a Bridgeton resident. She had previously been employed at the Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton for over 20 years and had attended Maranatha Baptist Church in Millville. She is survived by two daughters, Carol I. Bowe and her husband Bill of Upper Deerfield Township and L. Gwen Giacoboni and her husband Robert of Fairfield Township; a son, Bob Roberts and his wife Patricia of Stow Creek Township; three sisters, Reba Roberts of Upper Deerfield Twp., Cleo Steele of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Joyce Galetka of Upper Deerfield Twp.; a brother, Earl Hines, Jr. of Smithfield, PA and three grandchildren, KeLea Exel, Ryan Roberts and Robert Gabriel Giacoboni. She was predeceased by two brothers, Willard and Paul Hines and a sister, Mabel Collins. Funeral services will be held at the Maranatha Baptist Church, 1524 Bridgeton-Millville Pike, Millville on Wednesday, November 9th at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton. Friends will be received at the church on Wednesday from 10 to 11 AM. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Mrs. Robert's memory be made to the Maranatha Baptist Church.
