Obituary of Dorothy Mae Jones

Born in Rehobeth, MD on August 8, 1929 to the late Robert Teagle and Virgie Whittington Teagle, she was the wife of the late Lloyd E. Jones. She had been a Millville resident for the past eight years and prior to that had lived in Port Norris. Before her retirement, Mrs. Jones had worked at the Woodbine Developmental Center for over 14 years. She was a member of the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob in Bridgeton. Surviving are three sons, Lloyd Jones of Boston, MA, Lawrence Jones of Port Norris and Ronnie Jones of Bridgeton; three daughters, Pershail Pearson of Fairmont, MD, Cosetta Davis of Cincinnati, OH and Rosetta Ward of Millville; three sisters, Adella Barrow of Port Norris, Cora Jones of Millville, and Leele Whittington of Marion Station, MD and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd E. Jones; two sons, Paul Jones and Billy Jones; two sisters, Loretta Teagle and Carrie Gould; and four brothers Robert, Arthur, John and Andrew Teagle. Funeral Services will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, 2411 Memorial Ave, Port Norris on Friday, February 15th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery in Downe Township. Friends will be received at the church from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Cedarville.
