Doyle Franklin, age 62, of Dividing Creek, died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Atlantic City Medical Center in Atlantic City. The son of the late Thomas Franklin and Leona Connard Franklin, he was born in Waynesville, NC and was the husband of Brenda Parker Franklin. He had lived at his present address in Dividing Creek for over 40 years and prior to that had resided in Millville. He had been self employed as a carpenter with his father-in-law, Ernest Parker of Dividing Creek. He was also an avid hunter and camper. In addition to his wife Brenda, he is survived by two daughters, Marie Mazzola of Dividing Creek and Renia Franklin of Fairton; a son, Kevin Franklin of Dividing Creek; a sister, Edith Whitney of Cherryville, NC; four brothers, Tommy Franklin of TN, Don Franklin of Newport, Wayne Franklin of TN, and Jerry Phillips of Dividing Creek; four grandchildren, Derek Spencer and Joshua, Dustin and Rachel Garrett and one great-granddaughter, Aleena Garrett. He was preceded in death by five siblings. Funeral Services will be held at the Padgett Funeral Home, 160 Main Street, Cedarville, on Thursday, August 16th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Dividing Creek Baptist Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
