Philip L. Guarrera, 89, of Cedarville passed away at his home under the care of his family following an extended illness.

 

Born in Swedesboro to the late Jospeh and Cochetta Guarrera, he was the husband of Veronica “Bonny” Harkins Guarrera. Philip lived in Swedesboro until he enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He had been a resident of Cedarville for the past 30 years.

 

Philip had owned and operated Guarrera Farms tending livestock for over 40 years and had worked in the farming industry since his childhood. Farming was his life and his livelihood. He had also been formerly employed by Canusso and Sons in Philadelphia for about 15 years where he constructed roads all over New Jersey.

 

He is survived by; his wife, Bonny Guarrera of Cedarville; two daughters, Phyllis Bowlby and her husband, Roger of Garwood and Donna M. Guarrera of Williamstown; his son, Mark S. Guarrera and his wife, Joyce of Cedarville; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Joshua, Tara, Lisa, Julie and Steven; four great-grandchildren, Jade, Cara, Connor and Lily and his sister, Marie of FL. He was preceded in death by; three sisters, Sadie, Eva and Rose and two brothers, Carmen and Vito.
