Obituary of Marianne J. Franks

Marianne J. Franks, 82, of Cedarville died on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at her home.

                Born in Bridgeton to the late Elmer Johnson and Marian Paulding Johnson, she was the wife of Jason L. Franks for 61 years. Marianne was a resident of Cedarville all of her life.

                Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a registered nurse and nursing supervisor of the Intensive Care Units at Millville, Bridgeton and Elmer Hospitals for the former South Jersey Hospital System. She had also been previously employed at Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, DE and she did her nurses training at Mercer Hospital in Mercer County.  In her free time, Marianne enjoyed doing puzzles, gardening and skiing with her husband, Jason.

                She is survived by; her husband, Jason L. Franks of Cedarville; two sons, David Franks and his wife, Cindy of South Borough, Massachusetts  and Brett Franks and his wife, Judy of Richwood; four grandchildren, Matthew, Jennifer, Jaden and Evan; a sister, Eleanor Maxwell of Cedarville and a brother, Charles Clifford Johnson of Millville. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Walter Johnson.

                Funeral services were held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment took place privately at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Maryanne’s memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Delaware Valley Chapter, 2004 Sproul Road, Suite 208, BroomallPA 19008.
