Obituary of Sherri L. Garton

            Sherri L. Garton, 53, of Alloway Twp. passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Cooper Hospital in Camden.

            Born in Ridley Park, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Madison and Rosalie Green Madison and the wife of Gregory A. Garton. 

            A graduate of Schalick High School, she had been employed as a Certified Tax Collector for the City of Camden.  Sherri deeply loved and enjoyed her family and also gardening, shopping and holiday “Christmas” decorating. 

            In addition to her husband Gregory, she is survived by her children, Matthew Garton of Alloway and Ashley Guglielmo of Woodstown; her two grandchildren, Ryan and Nicholas Garton; a sister, Donna Torres of Tom’s River and two brothers, William Madison, Jr. of Pittsgrove and Alfred Madison of Alloway Twp.

            Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Interment will take place at Olivet Cemetery in Pittsgrove Twp.  Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.  The family asks that contributions in Sherri’s memory be made to either the SPCA or to the National Kidney Foundation, 1500 Walnut Street, # 301, Philadelphia, PA 19102.  She was also passionate about the importance of remembering to consider organ donation.  Written condolences can be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
