This is very difficult to write for so many reasons.
We are grieving the passing of the lovely, generous, and strong woman we were privileged to call our friend– Sherri Garton. Our most vivid memories of this very special lady include her deep love for all of you… her husband, Greg, her children – Matt and Ashley – her two adorable grandchildren, Ryan and Nick, along with Casie and Philip. We can never forget how proud Sherri always was of Matt and Ashley; she would constantly remind us how intelligent and talented they are (she was right too)!
A source of inspiration for us, Sherri’s determination, love, and strength of spirit never let her illness affect how much she treasured time spent with those she cared about, and- no matter what- she continued to do her best to make her children’s dreams come true, which includes most recently her tireless efforts to give her beautiful daughter (and our daughter-in-law), Ashley, a magical wedding on New Year’s Eve. What a special time to remember and treasure, and we are so grateful Sherri was there to share it with all of us.
For all who are familiar with the Garton family, they are known for their loyalty, drive, hard work, and sense of humor as well as their loud and boisterous gatherings, and Sherri reveled in this. As far as the future goes - Sherri has left her family with the eternal assurance of her love and devotion along with the memories of all the ways she cared for them and put their needs before hers.
So, the bottom line is… Sherri will always be remembered with love and gratitude by all of us who knew her for the wonderful person she was… a woman who made a positive difference in this world through her family and career, and we are proud to call her friend and family. We will miss you, Sherri.
With love,
Rick and Lorraine Pfeffer
