            Carol Welden Griner, 73, of Ft. Denaud, FL and formerly of Fairton passed away at home on Sunday, January 14, 2018.

            The daughter of the late Kenneth Welden and Doris Burt Welden, she was born in Bridgeton and had lived in Florida for the past five months.  Prior to that she had resided in North Carolina for many years and before that, Fairton.

            She had been employed in the Bakery Department of the Winn Dixie Supermarket before her retirement.  Carol deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed playing Scrabble and watching Wheel of Fortune and was an avid George Jones country music fan.

            She  is survived by her five children, Patricia Larrimore of FL, Ronald Creamer of NC, Carol Loredo of FL, Dawn Finney of Fairton and Christel Balbino of FL; five brothers and sisters, David Welden of Cedarville, Darlene Durham of Fairton, Connie Wagner of Fairton, Shirley Texiera of Quinton and Keith Griner of Newport; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth “Butch” Welden and Marshall Welden. 

            Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Tuesday, January 23rd at 11:30 AM.  Friends will be received from 10 to 11:30 AM prior to the services at the funeral home.  Written condolences can be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
