Margaret Snyder Betts, 88 of Clementon, NJ passed away and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. She was the wife of the late William F. Betts Sr. and the mother of four children.

Margaret was born in Pennsauken, NJ to the late Earl and Theresa Snyder of Westville, NJ where she grew up.

Margaret became a Christian and was baptized at Blessed Hope Community Church in Westville Grove, NJ when she was 12 years old. She graduated from Woodbury High School in Woodbury, NJ and then completed a few semesters at Philadelphia College of the Bible, in Philadelphia, PA.

Margaret worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Camden, NJ as a typist where she met her husband William.

Margaret was active in church most of her life, teaching Sunday School and other church ministries. She especially enjoyed the AWANA Cubbies program.

Margaret served for a time as the chaplain of the Residents Association at the Clementon Towers Senior Apartments where she lived. She enjoyed many friendships there. She also was blessed with special friends that supported and comforted her throughout her life.

Surviving are 2 sons, William Jr. of Millville, NJ and James of Houston, TX, her daughter Lorraine McNally of Raymond, ME, her sister Charlotte Barrick of Mechanicsburg, PA, 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son David of South Carolina and her sister Earlene Beckley of Westville, NJ.

Funeral Services will be held at the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Bridgeton, NJ on Monday, January 22nd at 11:00 AM.  Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd., Wrightstown, NJ on Wednesday, January 24th  at 10:30 AM.
