Obituary of Robert I. Hess, Jr.

Robert I. "Bobby" Hess, Jr., 45, of Cedarville died on Friday, December 1, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of hospice.

Robert was born in Bridgeton to Nancy Digue Vanaman. He had been a longtime resident of the Woodbine Developmental Center in Woodbine and had previously lived at the North Jersey Training Center in Totawa.

Bobby loved spending time with his family and enjoyed blowing them kisses. He also loved to listen to classical music.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Nancy and Ron Vanaman, Jr. of Cedarville; two brothers, Ronald H. “Ronnie” Vanaman, III of Cedarville and Steven M. Vanaman and his fiancé, Sammi Jo Veach of Delmont; his maternal grandparents and godparents, John and Carmella Digue of Bridgeton; three aunts, Joyce Griner of Fairfield Twp., Pattie Rugenus of Bridgeton and Michelle Jones of Fairfield Twp. and his uncle, John Digue, Jr. of Bridgeton. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey J. Hess.
