Obituary of Betty J. Smith

            Betty J. Smith, 74, of Fairfield Twp. passed away on Saturday evening, September 30, 2017 at Inspira Medical Center-Vineland.

            Born in Twin Rocks, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Kopsic and Edith Patrick Kopsic and was the wife of the late Ronald J. Smith.  Betty had resided in Fairfield Twp. since 1968 and had lived in Bridgeton prior to that. 

            She was a member of West Park United Methodist Church in Hopewell Twp. and also the Stone Croft Ministries Group.

            Surviving are her two daughters, Cathy Kitzmiller and her husband, Harry of Fairfield Twp. and Cari Smith of Fairfield Twp; two grandchildren, Kyle S. Kitzmiller and Kelsey L. Kitzmiller; a sister, Ruth Odee and her husband Joseph of NJ; a brother, John “Buzz” Kopsic and his wife Donna of PA and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by three brothers and one sister.

            Memorial services will be held at West Park United Methodist Church, 625 Shiloh Pike, Hopewell Twp., on Sunday, October 8th at 2 PM.  Friends will be received at the church from 1 to 2 PM prior to the services.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Betty’s memory be made to West Park United Methodist Church, 625 Shiloh Pike, Bridgeton, NJ  08302.  Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.  Written condolences can be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
