Obituary of James Everett Brown

James “Tommy” Everett Brown, 75, of Fairfield Twp. died on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland.

 

Born in Waynesville, NC to the late Rayford Brown and Ethel Parton Brown, he was the husband of Patricia Parker Brown. Tommy moved to Canton to NJ in 1949 and had been a resident of Fairfield Twp. since 1999.

 

Prior to his retirement, he had delivered propane and fuel oil for the former Agway in Bridgeton and Modern Gas in Bridgeton. Tommy was also the owner and operator a small nursery in Rosenhayn known as James Brown Nursery. In his free time, he enjoyed many years of fishing and hunting in the woods and being in the outdoors.

 

Besides his wife, Patricia, he is survived by; his step-sons, Kenneth M. Davis of Stow Creek Twp. and Scott A. Davis of DE; three brothers, Carroll Brown of Bridgeton, L.C. Brown of Hopewell Twp. and Kenny Brown of Bridgeton; two sisters, Barbara Casper of Upper Deerfield Twp. and Patricia Durham of Hopewell Twp.; two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren and his best friends, his dog, Misty. He was preceded in death by; two brothers, Rev. Charles Brown and Rev. William Brown and a sister, Anita Loew.

 

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. A private interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Funeral services are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
