Obituary of Diane Calabrese

~~Diane Calabrese, 82, of Bridgeton died on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at her home following an extended illness.
 Diane was born in Providence, RI to the late William Briggs and Eileen Etheridge Briggs. In the early 1970s, she moved to the Bridgeton area where she was a resident for the rest of her life. Diane had also lived in New York City.
 Prior to her retirement, she had worked as an RN for Elmer Hospital in Elmer for many years. Diane had been previously employed at Bridgeton hospital and Owens Illinois Glass Co. in Bridgeton. She had also been a Nurse of the Year Award winner. Diane was a member of the Parish of the Holy Cross Immaculate Conception Church in Bridgeton. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, entertaining, traveling and visiting the beach. Diane loved to spend time with her family.
 She is survived by; five children, Rose (Jeff), Mickey (Wes), Pat (Ron), Michael and Gina; a brother, William Briggs (Charlotte); eight grandchildren, Christine, Tim (Joanna), Jenny (Aaron), Lisa, Wesley (Brissa), Amy (Michael), Gina Marie and Dan (Ale) and 11 great grandchildren, Gabby, Celeste, Adeline, Alicea, Patsy, Anthony, Lorenzo, Luciano, Ryan, Mason and Everett. She was preceded in death by; a son, Tony; a son-in-law, Vincent and a sister, Nancy Burroughs.
 A memorial mass will be held at Parish of the Holy Cross-Immaculate Conception Church,312 N. Pearl Street, Bridgeton on Tuesday, May 23rd at 1 PM. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bridgeton at a later date. Friends will be received at the church from 12 Noon to 1 PM prior to the services.
