Kenneth J. Pierce, age 80, of Cedarville died on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at his home under the care of his family and Hospice. The husband of Carol Green Pierce and the son of the late Howard and Susan Pierce, he was born in Fairfield Township and had been a Lawrence Township resident most of his life. An avid fisherman, Ken had worked as a commercial fisherman prior to his retirement. He had also worked as the yard manager at Tri City Lumber in Vineland for many years. He enjoyed searching out salvaged items and working on them. In addition to his wife Carol, he is survived by his five children, Michael Morrison, Lisa Pierce, Kenneth J. Pierce, Jr. and Christina Pierce all of DE and Kelly Pierce-Larson of Millville; two brothers, Ralph Pierce of CA and Ellsworth Pierce of Millville; a sister, Catherine Harden of Vineland, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Clayton and Howard Pierce and two sisters, Dorothy Ridgway and Barbra McKinney. Memorial services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main Street, Cedarville on Monday, March 20th at 11 AM. Friends will be received from 10:30 to 11 AM prior to the services at the funeral home. Written condolences can be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
