Roosevelt McGriff, Jr., age 53, of Bridgeton died Saturday, April 28, 2012 at South Jersey Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. The son of Thelma Pritchett McGriff of Bridgeton and the late Roosevelt McGriff, Sr., he was born in Bridgeton on December 16, 1958. He had lived in Atlanta, GA for many years and returned to the Bridgeton area 15 years ago. Mr. McGriff had been employed with Genesis-Millville Center for several years and also at South Jersey Extended Care in Bridgeton. He attended John Wesley United Methodist Church in Bridgeton. In addition to his mother, survivors include four sisters, Harriet Ruth Gould of Bridgeton, Janet Caldwell of Fairton, Gwendolyn McGriff of Bridgeton and Linda McGriff of Bridgeton; two brothers, Francis Lloyd Pritchett of Vineland and Bruce McGriff of Willingboro and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by: a sister, Gloria Pritchett and a brother, Richard McGriff. Funeral Services will be held at the John Wesley United Methodist Church, Matthew Brown Way, Bridgeton, on Saturday, May 5th at 1 PM. Friends will be received at the church from 12 Noon to 1 PM prior to the services. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
