Shirley D. Adams, age 64, of Shiloh died Friday, April 27, 2012 at South Jersey Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. The daughter of the late Benjamin Carman and Eleanor Jane Shaw Carman she was born on April 2, 1948 and was the wife of Frank Adams. She had lived in Shiloh for the past 30 years and in Fairton prior to that. With her love of children and her specialty in caring for them, Shirley had operated a child care service in her home for 35 years. She had also previously been employed as a beautician at the former Stanger's Beauty Shop in Bridgeton for several years. Shirley was a member of First Methodist Church in Bridgeton and she enjoyed baking but she especially loved and enjoyed her grandson, Luke Adams. In addition to her husband Frank and grandson, Luke she is survived by two sons, Michael T. Adams (Donamarie) of Haddon Township and Brian S. Adams of Shiloh and two sisters, Sue Ann Ayars of Upper Deerfield Township and Bonnie Lee Kozlarski of Bridgeton. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Wednesday, May 2nd at 1 PM. Burial will take place at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12 to 1 PM prior to the services.
