Mildred M. Fleming, 97, of Bridgeton passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Bishop McCarthy Residence in Vineland. Born in Derby, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Waterhouse and Josephine Morency Waterhouse. She was predeceased by her loving husband George S. Fleming in 1969. Mildred had been a resident of Bridgeton since 1945 and had lived in Vineland, Patterson and Waldwich prior to that. Before her retirement in 1995 she had been employed with the Seibel and Stern Clothing Co. in Bridgeton for 25 years. She loved working with children and had been involved with the Girl Scouts and Cub Scout Troop at Immaculate Conception Church and also in the PTA and bingo at the church. She was a member of the Parish of the Holy Cross and the Altar and Rosary Society. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Tuthill (Buddy), son-in law, Harry Parks and grandchildren, Keith Parks, Karen Turner, Doris O’Neill, Shawn Parks, Liane Knagenhjelm and Ryan Bradway along with 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her sons, George and William and daughters, Maryann and Lois. Her Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Parish of the Holy Cross, St. Teresa of Avila Church, 46 Central Avenue Bridgeton on Wednesday, Feb. 22nd at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to the services at the church.
