Obituary of Detrel L. Hitchens

Detrel L. Hitchens, 21, of Fairfield Twp. died on Friday, December 23, 2016 at South Jersey Extended Care in Bridgeton following an extended illness. Detrel was born in Bridgeton to Darryl Hubert, Jr. and the late Stephanie Hitchens. He had been resident of Millville most of his life. Detrel had been previously employed at Lucas Produce in Vineland. In his free time, he enjoyed playing video games and watching TV. He is survived by; his father, Darryl Hubert of Fairfield Twp.; six siblings, Janisa Clark, Vermeer Edwards, Vinmar Edwards, Darryion Hubert, Ve’azisa Hubert and Deshira Hubert; his grandfather, Darryl Hubert, Sr.; his grandmother, Eloise Walls; his great-grandmother, Nyla Statton and many aunts, uncles and other family members. He was preceded in death by his mother, Stephanie Hitchens. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
