Obituary of Marva Jean Durham

Marva Jean Durham, 77, of Deerfield Twp. formerly of Salisbury, MD died on Wednesday morning, December 7, 2016 following an extended illness. Born in Salem, NJ to the late Clyde C. Price and Lydia Cagle Price, she was the wife of the late Joseph T. Durham, Jr. Raised in Cocke County, TN, Marva moved to NJ with her family in her late teens. She had lived in Salisbury, MD for the past 20 years before moving back to New Jersey to live with her daughter, Kim. Prior to her retirement, Marva had worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant and home health care aide in MD for 15 years. She had been previously employed at Major Clothing in Bridgeton and the Visiting Nurses Association. In her free time, Marva enjoyed sewing and watching western movies. She also enjoyed traveling to Arizona where she visited the Cowboy Café in Sedona where her favorite western author Zane Grey used to be a frequent customer. She is survived by; three sons, Joseph T. Durham, III, James G. Durham and David S. Durham all of Sharptown, MD; her daughter and caregiver, Kim Sibley of Millville; two sisters, Carol Henry of Pittsgrove and Sharon Myers of Rosenhayn and her grandson, Dustin J. Durham of Millville. She was preceded in death by; her husband, Joseph T. Durham, Jr. and three brothers, John Price, Ronnie Price and Felix Price. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday, December 12th at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Lawnside Cemetery in Woodstown. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services.
