Douglas Michael Jenkins Bertucci, 32, of Newport died suddenly on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. The son of Lisa Jenkins of Newport and Douglas M. Bertucci of Ocean City, he had been a Newport resident most of his life. Doug had been employed with his father as a carpenter with Doug Bertucci Construction out of Ocean City. He had also worked as a waterman out of Newport with his grandfather. He had a passion for fast cars and also drawing and tattoos and deeply loved his children. In addition to his mother and father, Doug is survived by his four children, Angelina, Olivia, Douglas, III and Anthony; two sisters, Jennifer Sheppard (Nicholas) of Marmora and Adriana Bertucci of Ocean City; his step-mother, Ninfa Bertucci of Ocean City; maternal grandfather, John Bradford of Newport; paternal grandparents, Vincent and Donnalee Bertucci of Cedarville; a nephew, Lorenzo Sheppard, two aunts, two uncles and several cousins. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main Street, Cedarville on Friday, October 28th at 11 AM.
