Ruby G. Clovis, 76, of Quinton Twp., passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Cooper Hospital in Camden. The daughter of the late Arlen Barr and Goldie Jones Barr, she was born in Monongalia County, West Virginia. She had lived in Quinton Twp. for the past year and was a Hopewell Township resident for many years prior to that. Before her retirement, Ruby had been employed with the housekeeping department at Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp. for several years. She was a member of the Victory Assembly of God in Pittsgrove and the Order of Eagles-Bridgeton Airy. Surviving are her four children, Tina Akilli of CO, Teresa Mead of Hopewell Twp., Brenda Clark of Fortescue and Clark Clovis, Jr. of Quinton Twp.; two brothers, Gale Barr of Millville and Wilbert Barr of Quinton Twp., 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Hazel Watson and Wilma Mercer. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday, October 13th at 2 PM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 1 to 2 PM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp.
