Obituary of Sharon D. Hetzell

Sharon D. Hetzell, 58, of Hopewell Twp. died on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at her home under the care of hospice. Born in Bridgeton to Ronald D. DuBois, Sr. and Marian Hitchner DuBois of Bridgeton, she was the wife of Nathan L. Hetzell. She had been a resident of Hopewell Twp. for the past 29 years and prior to that she had lived in Bridgeton and Upper Deerfield Twp. Sharon had worked as an educator in special education for the Bridgeton Board of Education for 16 years. She had also worked at Cumberland Regional High School, Deerfield Twp. School, Gloucester County Special Services, Bridgeton Christian School and Cumberland Christian School. In addition she had served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of Deerfield Presbyterian Church where she was active as a leader in the Women’s Church Circle. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking and cross stitching. She loved children and was passionate about family. Besides her husband, Nathan and her parents, she is survived by her son, David N. Hetzell and his wife, Shanna of Cherry Hill and two brothers, Ronald D. DuBois, Jr. and his wife, Cindy of Shiloh and Bob DuBois and his wife, Tammy of Pittsgrove. Memorial services will be held at Deerfield Presbyterian Church, 530 Old Deerfield Pike, Bridgeton on Saturday, September 17th at 4 PM. Friends will be received at the church from 3 PM to 4 PM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sharon’s memory to the Deerfield Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 530 Old Deerfield Pike, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
