Ethel Mae Walker, 92, of Bridgeton was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Eagleview Health & Rehab Center in Pittsgrove. Born in Waynesboro, GA, she was the daughter of the late Lee Williams and Willie Mae Mathis Williams and the wife of the late Willie Walker. She had been a Bridgeton resident for 30 years and had lived in Florida prior to that. She had attended school in Burks County, GA. At an early age she joined Rock Creek Baptist Church in GA and later served on the usher board there and met her late husband, Willie, during World War Two. They were joined in Holy Matrimony and from this union had one daughter, Georgia Ethel who predeceased her. Ethel always was one to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was known to her family as “Tiny Ethel” and enjoyed cooking, gardening and fishing. Her happiest moments were spent as quality time with family members. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18th at 11 AM at New Hope Baptist Church, 47 Schaffer Ave., Cedarville. Friends will be received from 9 to 11 AM prior to the services at the church. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
