Frances Julia Hill, age 87, of Upper Deerfield Township died at home Thursday evening surrounded by her family following a year of declining health. She was born in Waynesboro, GA to the late Dalton Hilton, Sr. and Laura Shubert Hilton and was the wife of the late Howard Hill. She had lived most of her life in the Upper Deerfield Township area. Prior to her retirement, Frances had worked at several farms in Upper Deerfield Township. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church in Upper Deerfield Township and enjoyed fishing whenever she could. Surviving are three daughters, Julia Thomas and her husband Clement of FL, Bernetta Saunders of Landisville and Cordelia Hill of Millville; two sons, Eugene Hilton Sr. and his wife Evelyn of Petersburg, VA and Howard Hill, Jr. and his wife Mamie of Upper Deerfield Twp. along with 13 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Hill. Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, 194 Northville Road, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Tuesday, March 13th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the church from 9:00 to10:45 AM prior to the services. Burial will take place at Fordville Memorial Park in Fairfield Twp. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
